Historical milestones

In 1956 the Government of the Republic of Belarus decreed to build the second sugar plant. This was the start of sugar production in Gorodeya settlement, Nesvizh district.

In July, 1957 Garigeam M. Eranosian was appointed to the post of the director of the plant being built.

the sugar refinery was built within three years. The commissioning of the factory was made in presence of the specialists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania. From December 10 to December 20, 1959 there was hot rolling; all mechanisms of the factory were adjusted.

On December 24 a sugar beet processing started and AT 11 A.M. ON DECEMBER 26 THE FIRST LOT OF SUGAR WAS PRODUCED!

THIS WAS THE START OF THE SECOND BELARUSIAN SUGAR PLANT!

 During commissioning period the new director, Leonid M. Vladimirski, was appointed.

The new sugar plant’s work scale was amazing! In 1961 the plant processed 1 500 tons of sugar beet and produced 150 tons of granulated sugar daily.

On February 2, 1971 Aleksander G. Maksimovich was appointed to the post of the director.

In 1971 a raw cane sugar from Cuba processing technology was introduced.

On March 26, 1997 Mikhail V. Kryshtapovich was appointed to the post of the director of JSC Gorodeya Sugar Refinery.

During four years (1997-2000) a wide-ranging technical re-equipment of the enterprise was carried out. Within years 2002-2004 a large-scale modernization of the production took place.

As a result of the large-scale reconstruction the enterprise is provided with high-performance, energy-saving, high-effective up-to-date equipment.
