About 800 representatives from the Minsk region took part in the first regional youth forum «Belarus is us», held on October 9. Among them were representatives of the youth of the «Gorodeya Sugar Refinery».

This large-scale event is designed to increase the social and economic activity of young people, to allow them to find new and effective forms of cooperation between authorities, to replenish the personnel reserve. At the opening of the forum in the Central House of Officers in Minsk, Natalia Yakubitskaya, Chairman of the Minsk Regional Council of Deputies, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the forum: — Such a platform is an opportunity to show yourself, exchange views, discuss the prospects for the development of your sphere, district and country. After all, your opinion is very valuable for us, the current leaders, because you are building the future of our young independent state. Today you are already included in real life. Many of you have been successful as teachers, doctors, production specialists, creative personalities.

But the most important thing is that you are young people with an active civic position, which is why you are here. A lot is being done for young people in the Minsk region, a number of projects are being implemented to support children, young families, education, and access to medical services. There are good traditions of respect for veterans and the elderly. — We are the heirs of the winners. And this obliges us all to a lot, but most importantly, it gives us the right to be proud of our origin, our country and history. I would like to wish you not to lose all the good things that have been accumulated, and to do everything possible to increase it. Looking at you, so beautiful, smart, purposeful, I am convinced that everything will work out. Dare, dream, create! All conditions have been created for you today to implement the most ambitious plans. Everything is ahead of you, and together we must prove to the whole world that we have real, the best young people who love their country and are striving for the future! Be open, hardworking and devoted to your Homeland! - Natalia Yakubitskaya emphasized. Further, the forum was held in sections in the areas of Social sphere, Agriculture, Economy, industry, Finance, Construction, transport, housing and communal services. Its participants were divided into groups, which included visits to the largest city-forming enterprises and institutions of the capital and the central region.  The city delegation consisting of group No. 13 of the section Economy, Industry, Finance went to the city of Zhodino to the famous Belarusian automobile plant, on the way visiting the Memorial complex Kurgan of Glory - a monument of the Great Patriotic War. The city of Zhodino warmly and festively welcomed the participants of the youth forum. Then there was a visit to the Open Joint Stock Company Borisovsky Plant of automotive electrical Equipment — - the management company of the holding Avtokomponenty, where the forum participants were also warmly welcomed.  Well, after working in the sections, the youth of the Minsk region had an open dialogue with the first deputy chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Sergei Levkovich, which was held at the Gorky Palace of Culture in Borisov. Dmitry Voronyuk, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, First Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee, and Gennady Dengalev, Chairman of the Borisov District Executive Committee, also became the main speakers of the open dialogue. During the dialogue, acute questions were raised several times about housing construction for young professionals, the work of young people in student groups, and even about the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion turned out to be really hot, emotions were boiling. It is noticeable that the questions for the experts were not prepared in advance. The problems of youth employment in the region and other burning topics of concern to every young person were voiced. Initiatives have been introduced to improve the state youth policy.

We will pass on your best initiatives to the president,  Dmitry Voronyuk assured. He read out a welcome address for the youth of the Minsk region sent by the President of the Republic of Belarus. in which the forum participants were reminded of the events of the Great Patriotic War and that in today's situation it is important to preserve peace and not repeat the mistakes of the past.

Dear friends, take care of yourself, do not forget about your parents. And remember - everything in this life depends on you –  Gennady Dengalev summed up the forum. During the event, youth platforms worked, where the main activities in working with young people were presented: Work is cool, Do good, Live brightly, etc. Another interesting platform was presented by the Ministry of Emergency Situations: 3D glasses-a simulator for practicing actions in emergency situations using elements of virtual reality. On the Points of Peace platform, the forum participants were invited to tie a red-green ribbon on their hand, identifying our flag in support of peace, security and tranquility of Belarus. At the beginning of the event, guests were greeted by mimes and living statues near the Palace of Culture. And it was possible to capture all this on photo platforms with hashtags and a huge light zone Belarus is us. The forum ended in the evening with a solemn concert with the participation of Belarusian pop artists.
